Tree planting information

Plant in comfort with our camper trailer: Hotdrinks, seating, shelter and portable toilet.
Please bring:

• Appropriate dress for the weather.
• Sturdy footwear.
Tree planting sessions start at 9.30am with a cuppa, planting begins at 10.00, followed by free BBQ at lunchtime.

Saturday 6th of November: Planting day, Silverleaves Conservation Association, 17 SilverleavesAvenue Silverleaves – The Silverleaves Reserve - Morning tea (own cost) from 9.30am at the Silverleaves store, then a short walk to 17 Silverleaves to begin work from 10.00am. Saturday 27th November Site visits of all Phillip Island Coastal Groups Join us on our Coastcare field day. We’ll be visiting the 5 coastal sites involved in our Coastcare program. We’ll meet at 10.00am at Grossard Point Lighthouse in Ventnor and organise car-pooling from there.
​
We’ll visit Saltwater Creek, Silverleaves foreshore, Sunderland Bay foreshore and finish at Cape Woolamai foreshore. A great opportunity to learn and witness ongoing work from each of our Coastal Groups who protect our precious coastline.
​

December
6.00pm Wednesday 1st December Bunny Boiler Dinner Event: Phillip Island Winery. The purpose of the evening is to showcase rabbits as a pest on our Island with the offer of rabbit education and delicious rabbit dishes. The evening will start from 6.00pm and include a presentation by ‘rabbit guru’ Tim Bloomfield.

Saturday 18th December. Annual General Meeting and end of year BBQ.
​
We will be having our AGM and end of year BBQ at our new shed this year as we love it so much and want to show it off again. The details for the occasion are:
Location: Phillip Island Landcare Shed (onsite at Koala Conservation Reserve)
11.30am - Annual General Meeting
12.15 - BBQ lunch. If you would like to bring a salad, please advise.
1.00pm - Choice of tours: Either Bushbank or Koala Reserve, includes a visit to the Bush Curlew enclosures.
1.45pm Finish
